MUNCIE, Indiana - Six participants of the Study of The U.S. Institute in Ball State University spent half the day on June 26, 2013 volunteering in helping the Greater Muncie Habitat For Community in refurbishing a house in Muncie for the future family in need.
Participant were helping the other Habitat volunteers in cocking the house's windows gap, nailing the woods to the windows and lifting the boxes of furniture in and out of the house. Some were even brave enough to operate the machine cutter to cut the woods for the windows. Joyful expression can be seen clearly from the faces of participants, as they were working at the site. For most of them, this is their first exposure in doing activities like this and it does excites them as they were given the chance to contribute something back to the local community.
Greater Muncie Habitat for Community starts in 1986 with an objective of helping family in needs for home in Muncie, Indiana by providing them a zero-free interest housing plan.
